Effect of Ca

Qi WANG, Hongzhi JIANG, Shengli CHEN, Mingmin ZHANG, Mingxing DING, Esheng KONG, Guangying HUANG

Frontiers of Medicine 2009, Volume 3, Issue 1,   Pages 96-99 doi: 10.1007/s11684-009-0014-9

Abstract: The aim of this paper was to explore the relationship between energy metabolism and the meridian phenomenon. The manner of change of oxygen partial pressure in acupoints and no-acupoints of the urinary bladder meridian of goats was observed with a needle-type tissue oxygen tension sensor after the acupuncture effect was blocked by Ca complexation with ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA)-Na . The results showed that: (1) the concentration of calcium ion in urinary bladder meridian acupoints was higher than that in no-acupoints ( <0.01 or <0.05); (2) the tissue oxygen tension in urinary bladder meridian acupoints was higher than that in no-acupoints ( <0.01); (3) the oxygen partial pressure in acupoints decreased significantly after injection with EDTA-Na , compared with injection of either normal sodium or nothing ( <0.01); (4) the oxygen partial pressure in acupoints was higher than that in no-acupoints after EDTA-Na injection ( <0.01). Acupuncture could reduce oxygen partial pressure in acupoints by regulating microcirculation and increasing metabolic levels.

Ming CHEN, Chengdong WANG, Qinglong AN, Weiwei MING

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2018, Volume 13, Issue 2,   Pages 232-242 doi: 10.1007/s11465-018-0469-y

Abstract:

Intelligent machining is a current focus in advanced manufacturing technology, and is characterized by high accuracy and efficiency. A central technology of intelligent machining—the cutting process online monitoring and optimization—is urgently needed for mass production. In this research, the cutting process online monitoring and optimization in jet engine impeller machining, cranio-maxillofacial surgery, and hydraulic servo valve deburring are introduced as examples of intelligent machining. Results show that intelligent tool path optimization and cutting process online monitoring are efficient techniques for improving the efficiency, quality, and reliability of machining.

Design and calibration of a new high-definition three-dimensional laparoscopic system

Jia TANG,Li-qiang WANG,Bo YUAN,Hong JIANG,Qi-ming ZHU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2015, Volume 16, Issue 1,   Pages 79-84 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1400149

Abstract: We present a high-definition (HD) 3D laparoscopic system including a dual channel optical system, two cameras, a camera control unit (CCU), and an HD 3D monitor. This laparoscopic system is capable of outputting dual high-definition videos and providing vivid 3D images. A modified pinhole camera model is used for camera calibration and a new method of depth measurement to improve precision. The average error of depth measurement measured by experiment (about 1.13 mm) was small in proportion to the large range in distance of the system (10-150 mm). The new method is applicable to any calibrated binocular vision system.

Keywords: Dual optical channels     Three dimensional     Camera calibration     Pinhole model     Depth measurement     Laparoscopic
